Bodies of 3 hostages including Shani Louk recovered by Israeli forces in Gaza

JERUSALEM (AP) — The Israeli military said Friday its troops in Gaza found the bodies of three Israeli hostages taken by Hamas during its October 2023 assault on the Gaza Strip.
The bodies were identified as Shani Louk, Amit Buskila and Yitzhak Gelernter.
Nissim Louk, father of Shani Louk, told Israeli media his daughter's body was "very well." The three were killed by Hamas militants when their bodies were found, the military said.
The bodies were found in a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip, the military said. The hostages were taken during a Hamas attack on an Israeli military base near the Gaza border.
The Israeli military said it would continue to search for the remains of other hostages and soldiers who were killed in the conflict.
The recovery of the bodies is a significant development in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. It is unclear how the hostages were killed or how their bodies came to be in the tunnel.
